Helsinki-based Black Lizard´s debut EP, released in 2012 by Fuzz Club Records, created a stir. The band then recorded their s/t debut album in Berlin with The Brian Jonestown Massacre's Anton Newcombe, further shaped by the mastering of former Spacemen 3 visionary Sonic Boom.

Hot on the heels of a much loved debut album NIMI, Black Lizard has now released their second full-length Solarize. The new album sees the band expanding not only their sound (Solarize adds horns, synths and other textures to the mix), but also moving out of strict genre borders just leaving us with a simple concept: Black Lizard music. The first single from Solarize, All Her Time is informed as much by 1990’s textures as any adherence to the garage sound of decades past. All Her Time’s quiet/loud dynamic is enhanced by airy vocals, chorused guitars, droning fuzz and machine gun drum fills. The video, directed by Eetu Maaranen, is a fun ride with mystical symbolism. Cue reflective marbles, swirling skulls, spinning angles and one cool looking band. (solitimusic.com)

Black Lizard's growing reputation as a fearsome live band has been further enhanced with captivating shows all over Europe, including Eurosonic, -The Great Escape -and Reeperbahn festivals and supporting for example The Raveonettes and Veronica Falls. In September 2015, in support of the new album Solarize, Black Lizard´s European Tour takes theband to play shows in Spain, UK, the Netherlands and Germany.
